Comments: I was on this web page before and communicated with Del Whipkey
thru e-mail. We connected a few times and then he quit answering
Does anyone know if he is still alive? We both tried to contact
Barfield with no luck. Del did tell me Doc had passed away in
2010, but that's all the news he had. I had none cause I had just
found this link

Comments: I am a friend of William Pinkey's daughter. She remembers being aboard his ship, the USS Swallow when it was stationed at Pearl Harbor, but she was too young to remembre much about his career in the Navy. All she knows is that he was killed somewhere in the Carribean, and she thinks he was a diver/EOD or frogman. If anybody knows him or anything about him, please contact me.
Thanks,Blake Fetrow
