Comments: I am looking for any information about the Talladega. My father served during the early to mid years of Vietnam. He was a machinests mate. I am trying to collect what ever I can to put together a shadow box type gift. Information out there seems to be limited, and he refered to it as an "RVN" unless I missunderstood him. I do remember him telling me that it was an amphibious ship that he served on though. Thank you in advance. HIs name is Richard Justice

The Trembling T as we called it as it vibrated considerably when it hit 19 knots, it served us well, was a good ship.

Comments: I never knew that the USS Talladega existed until last week when there was an article and picture on the front page of our local newspaper "Daily Home" www.dailyhome.com May 27, 2001. I am saddened that our Talladega County which the ship was named after had not been educated about this historical ship. I regret that it was not saved and placed in the Bay of Mobile alongside the USS Alabama for the world to see. I am certainly proud of all of our fighting service men who put their lives on the line for our freedom. As a patriot I would like to be informed and kept up to date on your upcoming events and etc. Thank you for this web page and the work that goes into keeping it current. God Bless!
