Comments: My father served aboard the USS PASSIG TAW 3 for period of 9 months beginning May 1953 to February 1954. He served in the Navy from March 16, 1951 to March 15, 1955 which that said service was in the Korean Combat zone.
I'm looking for anyone who may have had knowledge of what duties my father had on the USS PASSIG and any other duties in the combat zone.
Unfortunately my father passed away on All Saint's Day November 1st. 1985 at the age of 53 from Cancer.

Thank you to all that served and may you hearts continue to bleed RED, WHITE & BLUE. God Bless America

Comments: I am looking for information on the USS Passig. My dad passed away in 78. My dad was on the USS Passig during WW2 according to the info that he wrote in his old Blue Jackets Manual. Believe it or not it still around. I want to write a history of his time in the navy. If any one has any info they can give me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping one of your fellow shipmates.
