Comments: 1212 Corkwood Circle, Does anyone remember my Dad, BMSN/BM-3 Stan Ellefson ? He was a landing craft coxswain during the Korean War. He was at the major landings of the War. My Dad stayed in as a CT, retiring in 1975 with 30 years total time. He was an aviation radioman, ATR-3, that came back in for the Korean War , sent the Bayfield at Little creek , Va., made a BM, and initially knocked down 1 pay grade. He became a CT for the rest of his career. My Dad passed on in August of 2012, and he always had fond memories of his time on the Bayfield.
