Comments: I was a friend of the late Sgt Dick LaCafta, 89th tank battalion, Korean War.I have a photo of him taken shortly after a battle that he showed me and I made cioies if it.Maybe someone who knew him would like a copy of it. He was a great guy and felt comfortable talking to me about the war, some stories were horrific! God bless all those guys, he was there late 51 into 52.

Comments: Looking for any information regarding my Dad, Donald V Faasse from Michigan. We have a copy of the book Thrust, and some News from the ship he traveled on when he was on his way to Korean. He was a Sargent, I believe he drove and commanded a tank. This is a part of my fathers life I have little information about and would be interested in learning more. Thank you all in advance.

Comments: I am looking for information and or pictures taken in Korea in 50 and 51 of my father Trevor Wright.
I am lacking a lot of information as are many others due to the fire in the National Archives in 1973. My father passed away in 1958 and never talked much to anyone about his tour.
I do know that he received a field commission for getting a track back on a tank in the middle of battle possibly to 2nd Lieutenant.
I was told He was stationed in Ita Jima Japan in 50 . When the war broke out him and a buddy were sent to Korea. His rank when in Korea I don't know however when he left the service his rank was 1st lieutenant.
Any information would be appreciated.
I am also looking for Marvin Gibson Jr. the son of Marvin Sr. who was a friend in Ita Jima Japan and Korea.

Comments: My grandfather, Alan Youngquist, passed away a few years ago and I became the inheritor of not only his service records, but those of his brother Wayne.

My grandfather was a good man that felt the loss of his older brother keenly, and as such, would not like to speak of his service in Korea, especially in regards to his death.

Sadly my grandfather passed away from Alzheimer's disease. In his last years he would wander away in search of Wayne. It was very painful for the family to watch my grandfather fade away, especially when we had so little to go on about Uncle Wayne.

I do know Uncle Wayne was KIA on June 1, 1952. From what I've gathered from the Korean War Project I know he held the rank of corporal in the 89th Medium Tank Battalion, Bravo Company.

I was hoping there might still be someone out there with photographs or personal stories about Uncle Wayne. I know time is not on my side to gather these last few memories, but I want a chance to save what I can.

Thank you.

Comments: I am looking for any information from anyone that might have know or served my grandfather, SP$ Beverly Murray. He was part of the 89th Medium Tank Battalion, 25 Infantry Division. His records were long those lost during the 1973 National Archives fire, ironically enough, the same year I was born. Papaw never spoke of his time in Korea, telling us only that he shot pineapples in Hawaii during the entirety of the war. As I cannot access his military records, and he passed away in 1984, there is a blank space in his life story I would like to tell my children and grandchildren about. My mother, Beverly Beb Murray's only child, knows no more than I do, and would like to know more about her father's life during this period. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, Ryan S. Pack

Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have served with my father in Korea. He was originally from New Orleans, he enlisted in May 1950, served in Korea, was wounded on 7 February 1950. During peace time he was stationed at Fort Gordon, Ga. and also in Toul, France where he was a cook. He passed away and was buried on Veteran's Day 2000. I have very little info on his 25 years in the Army and I am trying to piece together a small history. Thank you for your time.
