If any served during this time and place, Please give me information as to what was his unit, type of duty station. His commander was named Robert A. Anderson, Lt. (1953). Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have information regarding the bronz
star my dad received during the korean war. His name was James Edward
Bloom. He was in the first platoon battery A 87th Armored Artillery
Battalion. He was a Heavy Weapons infantryman, MOS 1745 leaving camp
roberts on 4/23/1953. I found the bronz star after his death. He never
made mention of it, and the military said all of his records were lost in a
fire many years ago.
