I was wondering if anyone from that division would be able to tell me where he would have been at that time, perhaps marching to the Battle of Heartbreak Ridge? His name Was Sanford "Sandy" Elovitz, from Pittsburgh PA. Anyhelp would be great, thanks,

He was killed in Korea on June 21, 1952 and my grandmother has never been able to discover what happened to her brother. Our family was never told if he was killed in action or as the result of an accident. I have tried to search regimental histories as well as trying to find his personel records but have come up empty handed. All I know of him is that he serrved in the PPCLI and the date of his death. Any help with finding out what happened to him would be greatly appreciated as I would like to be able to tell my grandmother what happened to him before she passes away. Thanks.
