Comments: Looking for anyone who knew 1st Lt. (later Capt.)
Raymond R. Bern. He flew the C-46 out of Tachikawa AB,
Japan. He was at Tachikawa from 6 Jan 1948 to 7 May
1951; while there he was with the 317 TCG, 349th AES,
366th ASG, 7th Aerodrome Sq, 317th ABG, 46th TCS and
finally the 22nd. His records show he was credited
with 68 combat missions (400 combat hours) flying the
C-46 during the Inchon invasion.

I am researching the C-133 accident on 13 April 1958
in which Capt. Bern and his C-133 crew were killed. I
have been in contact with his family and have written
stories about the plane and crew for the Air Mobility
Command Museum's newsletter, the Hangar Digest. I'm
hoping to find people who knew him and can tell me
about him.

Comments: My Dad is a Korean War vet of the Air Force. His dog tag has "T46" on it. Is that his unit? He has passed and never talked about the war just that he was on a aircraft carrier. Can anyone give me some more info?
Thanks
