Comments: I would appreciate hearing from any 81st vet who served in front of St. Vith. Belgium 1944. I am not aware of any other H&S member still alive but assume that a few do remain. We were in Huem, Belgium Dec 16th as bulge battle began. I served under Cptn. Loren Souers, in S-2 section. Capt. Nathan Ward was H&S Co. he died several years ago. Thanks andy Anderson.

Comments: I can find no record that this battalion existed other than a couple of other dated inquiries by offspring of Korean War vets (mine is deceased) on this website. Can anyone verify that this battalion existed and give me more information?

Comments: my grandfathers name is Hoyt James Bibby.
He recently recieved an award from the president of korea thanking him for his service over there.
I know on his DD214 it says something about a Unit Citation Award I was wondering what that was? Because my grandfather really wont talk about it. Im sure though he would love to hear from an old army buddie whom he served with.
