Comments: In going through my late mother's papers, I recently found an envelope with a photograph of almost 50 men, in uniform, written on it is 'HQ SV CO. 378th EMGR COMBAT 8N 1950'. On the back of the 8 x 10 Photo is listed as being taken by DANIEL STUDIOS, Daniel Firestone, 2425 N High Street, Columbus 2, Ohio, Lawndale 1187
My father served in WWII (he died in 2001); and, I know he was called to the Korean War but my mother told me in years past that he didn't have to go because of "points" (they had two children and one on the way at that time).
My question, having this photograph, would he have been in a group picture even if he were told he would not be going with the group?

Comments: I was just wondering if any other vet ever came down with Bullous pemphigoid. My father suffered from this blistering skin disease late in life and we always wondered if it had anything to do with his wartime. He used to talk of being afraid he would catch something because the army gave him so many pills in korea to ward off sickness or help them forget things and he didn't know what the pills were or because of the conditions of the water they bathed in. I am not seeking money, Dad has since passed on we are just wondering if it could be related.
