Comments: i am looking for anyone who served in korea during 52-53 who when their unit went stateside was shipped back to Ft lewis washington. I am a cook in a cafe who has gotten to know alot of the old veterans that come in and one in paticular has been trying to locate lost freinds only problem is he doesnt have a puter so i am his eyes and ears , he said the unit in korea was decommisioned once stateside and recommisioned as the 1438th Battalion he is in roseburg and his first name is Bernie anyone who can help please contact me . Just a vet from a later era trying to help one that is from an earlier era

Comments: Looking for info on my father, according to his DD214's he seved with the 570th Engineer Co. (WS) from 1958- 1962. My fathers name was Percy E.Gonce and he passed away in May ,1973.I am researching his Military Career for our family history and I would appreciate any info if any one has any whether it be about him or the 570th during that time period.
