Unit: 313TH EUD-86TH EUD, X CORPS HQ.

Service or Relationship: Army Veteran

Comments: Served in the 313th EUD of the 24th Engr. Group. at X Corps HQ. during 1952 and 1953. The unit was formally attached to X Corps Hq. in 1953 and renamed the 86th EUD. It also included the 86th EFFD (fire fighting) and 86th EWTD (water truck), so we had three morning reports each day - and the TO and E did not include a typewriter.
Would be interested in exchanging memories of "frozen Chosen" with other veterans of the EUDs at that time (summer 1952 to fall 1953). Milt Iossi

Comments: My father Bruce J. Thompson, was in Korea in the US Army. He passed away in 1978, when I was 7 yrs old. I am very interested in finding out about his time in Korea. I have a plaque that has the ordnance symbol on it, it says OBD #1, June 20, 1952 August 6, 1953, Pusan Korea. I also have a silver ring that has OBD 1 and 52 and 53 on it. If anyone has any info that I could use , I would appreciate it. Thank yoy!
