We were next to Camp Casey. I was a small engine
mechanic with the Small Engine Repair Group. Served
in 1954-1956 (16 months). We were billeted in 8 men
tents.

Camp Casey in 1961-62. There were about 30 of Us. I
cannot find any info on the Internet about this unit.
This site is as close as I have been able to find. I
was a Special Electrical Device Repairman. Our group
Commander was a Major. Sure would appreciate any
info. about this ubit.

Comments: I was in the third (Contact) Platoon from November 1951 until September 1952. Was in North Korea at Wachon, Sabangari, Kumwa Valley during that time. Was in the second platoon, (Shops) at Chunchon from Sept. 1952 until April 1953 when I rotated back to the US. I contacted Grover Ritter during the month of October 1999. He lives in Sandusky,Oh. and was at Chunchon. Would like to hear from anyone else from the 538th especially those in 2nd or 3rd or headquarters platoon.
