Comments: I am looking for any information possible about Raymond J. Boiselle who belonged to C. Co. 127 Airborne Engineer Battalion of the 11th Airborne. He is my grandfather and passed when I was 9 years old. He never told me much about Korea except how cold it was. I never knew anything about what he did or where in country he was. I know he served from '48-'52 in the United States Army. He was also a Rakkassan belonging to the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. He got out of the Army as a Sergeant First Class. I have a feeling that he served alongside Medal of Honor recipient Rudolfo Hernandez. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Anything I have searched for has lead me to a dead end. Thank you.

Comments: My father only told me that he was a clerk in the Corps of Engineers. I don't know what division he served under or if that was really what he did. He enlisted in DeKalb, Illinois, served in Korea, and when he was discharged he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If anyone could provide me with any information, I would be so greatful. Thank you in advance.

Comments: I am trying to identify the unit in which my father, now deceased, served in Korea. He enlisted 26 February 1946, departed for Japan from Camp Stoneman, and served in the forces of occupation in the 11th Airborne, 127th Engineer Battalion, Co, B. He was demobilized and honorably discharged on 8 July 1947 and enlisted on 9 Dec 1947 in the New York State active reserves. He was reactivated on 18 Oct 1950 at Ft. Campbell, KY, serving in the 2118th while stateside. He was deployed to Korea, but I do not know in which unit. He was honorably discharged the second time on 18 February 1952. He used to tell of injuring his back in a parachute jump, although it was not while in action. It was not disabling. Does anyone know if there is a way to ID his Korea unit?

this is the only story he told me about the war. he
did tell me of his schooling and building bridges to
cross rivers at record speeds. I am a retired army

died before we could get a service number. he was in
his 80's when he passed last year and had no records
due to a house fire. thanks in advance. dan holtel

about the spelling of this name). I am searching for
my mother's biological father who was serving under
Master Sgt. Vincent Hollis. He was an African-
American and about 22-23 y.o. in 1955 when he
finished his service in the Korean War. He was a
college student from Philadelphia, PA that was
drafted into the war. His family is from
Philadelphia and ran a fabric business. The
birthname he gave my mother was Diana, and they both
have a copy of a picture from her infancy. Thank you

Comments: My grandfather served in this unit in Korea from 1950-1951 I believe. Unfortunately, he died when I was 9, 7 years ago, and I didn't learn that much about what he did in Korea. I was also told of a battle he was in where they were defending a hilltop and about 10 or less men made it off alive after it was over. i was just wondering if anybody had any information about this unit and what they did in Korea, any details about the battle I mentioned would be extremely appreciated. Just anything anybody knows about this or knows someone who was with the same unit would be excellent. Thank you very much.
