Comments: I am looking for information about the ship my Grandfather was on in the navy. His full name is Loyal Franklin Allen. He passed away 11 years ago, of stomach cancer and all my grandmother can remember is the ship he was on. The U.S.S. Siminole. I am not sure if this is the correct spelling, but she also said he didn't join the Navy until the tail end of the war. She said his ship brought back POW's. This is all of the information I have, but if you could find any information about this ship and the people who were on it, it would be greatly appreciated. I hope I have given enough information. If not please e-mail me to let me know.

Thanks so much,
Robin Banks
