Comments: I am still here at age 83 plus and I am doing quiet well. I was just wondering of those who served on the Virgo from 1950 to 1954 how many are still alive. I think not many, but I would like to here from any that will write me.
I am living out my final years here on a small farm where it is really peaceful and quite. I enjoy rocking on my front and back porches and looking at the scenery and the animals.
Won't be too long until all of us during this era will be looking down on our past.

Comments: Me, Sabo, Short, Benji, Bartche and several others tooled around the Operations Division of the Virgo from December 1950 till the end of the war. There were several important operations that happened during that time, such as the mine fields, the ship grounding, the Ashtabula blowing up, the little train that scooted around the mountain along the coast of North Korea and the beautiful beaches along the coast all the way from China to the Southern coast of South Korea.
If any of you remember any of this I would be interested in your confirmation.

Bos'n Deluca, Ensign Carey, lt. jg tannone, abernathy, Jesse Truesdale[laundry] Job,all these I commit to memory.[48 yrs. ago] I just about cried when I stepped off the gang plank for the last time. I spent one yr. on the Virgo. Previously I was stationed at Yokosuka, Japan[ one year] shore duty. [boat pool].
