Our mission was delivering material up through the Hudson Straights to radar sites being built along the top of the continent as early warning against soviet missiles. I would love to hear from anyone who was serving during this deployment. I got to know a few of the navy personnel but can't remember any names. Took about 6-7 trips to Puerto Rico (Viequis), went through the canal to the west coast and then to Japan, traveled to Bermuda, New Foundland, Columbia, Havana (before Castro), St. Thomas.

I served on the Thuban from June 1951 thru October 1954.

Would love to hear from someone who might remember me.
