While with the 54th CBRE, my unit commander was Lt. Col. Lawrence Manning Kellam (deceased 12/27/15). Other Officers were Capt. ? Payne and Lt. Charles A. "Tony" Struckholz.

Japanese, German, Russian, maybe some others. He was
originally from Pennsylvania, and I believe he had 2
sisters possibly named Lee and Dianne. We think his

wore cat eye glasses. Was with Icorps in Korea and

I served with the 51st in Korea, 1952-53, R and M Co, Radio
Platoon. I was a high speed radio operator. I started out working on a SCR-399 ( morse code operated ) and later we got ANGRC-26 ( radio teletype units). As most of us, I
was on TDY away from our platoon most of the time, and from our Hq. in Uijongbu, South Korea. I spent most of my time out in the field up North, where it was colder that hell. I hope you faired better.
We have just concluded our 6th Reunion, in Dallas, TX, Sept.
9, 10 and 11, 2003. Our host was Rex Searson, Former CO,
R and M Co., 1953-54. Our guest speaker was Col. Wiley Bell,
former message cnt. CO, R and M Co., 1953-54.
Our next reunion will be Sept. 7, 8 and 9, 2004, in either
Branson MO. or Nashville TN. ?? Our reunions will be opened
to all members from 1916 to 2004. Our dues are $10.00 a year.
This money goes toward operating our Web Site
( www2.itexas.net/tom ) and putting out our news letters.
Sincerely yours,
Tommy Thompson
