City and State: LITTLE ROCK AR

Unit: 1ST RADIO SQUADRON MOBILE, USAFSS

Service or Relationship: Friend of Veteran

Comments: My high school classmate, Elishie Marion Condict, assigned to U. S. Army Infantry, 8227th Joint Unit, KMAG, was KIA on 14 Jan 1951. His MOS: 0345, Light Truck Driver. I haven't found a record of a battle fought on 14 Jan 1951, a sniper could have killed him; does anyone know? I do know that at this time there was an evacuation of North Korea, and he was probably somewhere south of the Han River. I was with the USAFSS 1st Radio Squadron Mobile, radio intercept operator member of a 4-man team sent to Korea in August 1951 where we camped on Hill 131 located between the Han River and Kimpo Air Base, and later moved to the toe of Hill 296 and occupied the "shot-up" buildings of Chosen Christian College.

Keywords: Elishie M. Condict KIA 14 Jan 1951, any info.?
