Comments: From Oct 1955 - Apr 1956, I was in AN/APG-30 Radar/Gunsight System tech school, Lowry AFB. Then with one of my classmates, Robert Bob Hight, I was sent to Osan AB (K55), Korea. Bob Hight was in the 310th FBS and I was in the 311th FBS.
The last time I communicated with him, he lived in Oregon. That was about 25-30 years ago. I would like to reconnect with him since we have few from our time still hanging on. If anyone knows him, please give him my message.
Thank you and God bless,
Bill Gray

Comments: I am researching the life of my Father John (Jack) T
Quinn and would like to hear any stories about him.
Did he serve in the 58th?
I understand the 58th flew F-84s. What markings and
colors identified a jet as being from the 58th.
What unit/squadron had two yellow tail strips (one
over and under the tail id number)?
Thank you.

Comments: Hello. Would be interested in hearing from someone who may have known my Uncle Alex, or witnessed his accident during a high speed buzzing (antenna check) at k-18. His wing tip dragged the ground and he bounced off the ground before climbing. He ejected clean, but his chute was just a streamer. Not enough altitude to blossom. Killed instantly. I've obtained an accident report, but it would fill a void to talk to someone who might know more. Thanks, Michael.

Comments: I'm on a team that is building/flying a competition model of the F-86 named "Bee Gee's Bird". It's true turbine powered and fully functional with retractable gear, opening canopy, speed brakes, etc. Not a kids toy, but an adults hobby, ha ha.
We're looking for more information on this aircraft and its pilot/crew people. Its in a Squadron/Signal book (F-86 in Action - Walk Around) pg 64. We're unable to read the pilots full name or see the other side of the aircraft.
Any info would be appreciated, and to see the model, visit www.bvmjets.com - look under Event Photo's and click on Top Gun '05 (April 27-May 5th). We'll have coverage posted.

He's doing fine these days just taking it easy. He's geting up in his years but he's doing well. Just thought i'd post this for him since he dosn't use computers. lol :-)
For what it's worth i have the Topper patch from his jacket framed here on the wall with a picture of him in the snow by the F-86's. Man those must have been some really cold winters for you guys.
Thanks you for doing everything that you did for our freedom. Reading up on the history of the 310th back even into WWII in the old P-47D's....it's my opinion that the 310th is the best damn squadron to have ever taken flight. They never seem to get the credit or recogntion they so rightly deserve.

Comments: I am trying to obtain sqaudron markings of those based at K-2 (Teagu)in the Fall of 1952. My Step-father, C.Don Carpenter. He was a mechanic for them. I am trying to get a model of the F-84G made in the Phillipines for him. I have been unable to get the right markings.(he cant remember) He said they were locate a the far end of the base (My map says that would be the NW end) and thought they were Blue and white diagonal stripes. Any help would be most appreciated. I'm trying to track all this down while I'm stationed here in Korea.
