Comments: I am interested in any documents or photos of the 136th Fighter Bomber Group, 111th Fighter Bomber Squadron circa 1951-1952. I am the grandson of Maurice E. Clark, an F-84 pilot who served then. I have quite a few photos and recently digitized gun camera footage from air to ground missions.

Comments: Fred Hewitt wrote in April 2002 that he was interested in any information about possible reunions of 111th veterans 1951-52. I know of none but would be very interested to know whether or not he has acquired any information about a reunion. I was a flight line mechanic on F-84 no. 677 from august 1951 to august 1952. I would enjoy talking with anyone about those days.

Comments: My dad was Lt Gene Ray Johnson, an F84 pilot in the
111th FBS of the 136th FBG during the Korean War.

I have several photos I would be willing to share and am
looking for someone who might have served with or known
him.

I also have a unit photo of either the 559th or 560th
Strategic Fighter Squadron, Bergstrom AFB, TX to which
he was later assigned.

Dad died in a motorcycle accident in 1956 while on TDY
in Alaska.

Comments: i recently became aware of an F-84G ,see KEYWORDS, that
was personalized with a cartoon and the words NEW ORLEANS
KID on the left side fuselage just above the wing. The
name SUSAN also appears on the nosewheel flaps. I am
very interested in the history of the A/C and Maj.
Ingrassia. I am a native of New Orleans, and am in the
process of constructing a model of the A/C. Any info
would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: My father Charles E. Stevens from Colesville, near
Silver Spring, MD served in the Air Force. His last
name Stevens was shortened to Steve so those who
served with him may know him by Steve. He served with
many from the Texas and Ark NAtional Guard. My Dad
started out as a radar mechanic. He talks about
radars, the cold, F-84s, a B26/9 named Dreamer which
had the saying -Old Airmen never die, they just go on
TDY. He also remembers going to Japan for more
training and leave, the Korean people, his tent
burning down, and eating dessert first on holidays
because it was as the top of his messkit. Please
contact me if you know him or have stories to share.
He is 81 and would like to share memories with others.

Comments: My dad signed up the day after Pearl Harbor. I know he served in Korea also. I always remembered the "111th" and everyone tells me they were in Europe and I must be wrong. Then I saw this. Maybe it was this 111th... were they a part of the 11th Airborne? I know my dad was 11th Airborne, 1st Sgt/Master Sgt Paratroopers. Dominick Robert Savino.

He was killed in a work-related accident in 1981, so old papers have been my only source of information. If you knew and remember my father, please contact me for short correspondence. Thank you.
