Comments: William Edwards was stationed in Ouijongbu City S. Korea on a very small base called Camp Indian that is closed. This camp was located immediately in front of local homes. The time period mentioned may be offsome because of the source (Un Ye Kim) had alot of time lapse from the first meeting with William Edwards. He was a tall, freckled, golden haired man that was liked by all.He was a cook for his company.

Comments: I am trying to find any information about my grandfather. My grandmother is South Korean and my grandfather was Italian American. All I know for sure is that he was serving near Seoul in 1956-1957. His name was Jack Watts and may have been a Major in the Marines. My mother was born Sept. 5, 1957. She has some memories of her father, but he came back to the U.S - possibly to Michigan in 1959-1961. My mother and grandmother moved while he was gone and she never saw him again. I believe my grandmother worked for him as a secretary. I would love to hear from anyone who may have any information that would be helpful.

He tells of a General Decker and his boat. He was in cold storage and also an SG. Rode the train that brought stuff into compound as SG. He mentions a Cprl. Brite, a James Stewart, a Frank Peoples, and a couple others. Has pictures of himself and friends but was told he could have been in Japan for all they knew. Would like to know if the uniform in Japan was an OD or an OG and maybe how I can get info for self. Anything would help at this point. Thanks much.

With Security we were responsible for patroling the road from the camp to the Conference Area and Bridge of No return. With Escort, we were responsible for the protection of all the conference negotiators and top dignitaries. Escort consisted of a lead jeep, the sedan carrying the dignitary, and a tail jeep. We were heavily armed in the event of an incident. It was good duty and got us off the "Rockpile" of Advance Camp. I was fortunate to serve with a great bunch of guys. We were very close knit. I hope that anyone that served with me will contact me. I had a mini-reunion with three in '04, but would like to hear from others. Thank you.

Service or Relationship: Army Veteran

Comments: I served in Korea in 1959 with the 802nd Engineering Batallion.

I remember being sprayed by herbicides during this time - and I am looking to see if there are any other veterans that served during this time that also had the same thing happen to them.

Thank you.

Comments: I am trying to find a unit patch from the 412 ENG BTN from back in 1953-1955. My Grandpa was drafted into the Army 50 years to the date 03-11-2003 I enlisted into the US Air Force. This is very special to me and I would like to give my Grandpa something to show my appretiation for all that the military forces did to pave the way for the military today. I think it would be special if I could find someone that he might know. His name is Sam Lopez, if you have any information or know him I would appretiate a reply. Thank you

Comments: Looking for information on where and what went on during the months of July 1954 to Feb. 1955. Know that DDT was used. Roy died in 2000 with alot of strange illnesses that he developed in the late 70's. Have an article by another serviceman that Agents white, purple, black, and several others where stored in Guam for Korea as far back as 1955.
Looking for Marines after going back to CampPen where they were put into MC Test Unit # 1 in 1955 and 1956. Have some of the names---Baker, Carper, Burns, Collins, Eberly, Hall, Howard, LaBarbera, Lay, Overhauser, Piper Jr., Stenerson, Tindal, Williams. If any one you are out there I would appreciate any information that you may have.
Thank you
Connie
