Infantry division 1951-1953. He went by the nickname of Cal. As an
armor officer I believe he was with the 140th medium tank battalion
conducting operations in the Kumsong- Kumhwa sector. I think his
unit was under control of IX or X Corps for most of the war. As such,
the tanks were often attached / detached for various units and
operations. I'm pretty sure he served in support of some ROK
operations. He passed away several years ago and we lost all of his
photos and records. He had a good friend, Stuart Little, an
Australian with the RAA for whom I am named after. I am trying to
find any information regarding his Bn,Co,Plt etc. He was from SC.

my father had served in Verdun during World War I, and we often sent
letters to one another comparing our experiences there. During my time
in Verdun, I still have sad, but vivid memories of visiting some of the
battlefields of World War I. It was also delightful and informative to find

I was curious about where he served and what he did, and if anyone who knew him could share any memories of him. Good or bad. He was a tall skinny man with blond hair, a farm boy from Illinois. I know he enlisted when he was young, so he must have been 17 or 18. He was always telling corny jokes, if that jogs any memories. Plus his name was Glenn Miller, just like the bandleader.
