Comments: I am trying to locate Robert "Poncho" Garcia. He was in Germany in 1954 attached to the 7th Army possibly a signal battalion. He was a seargent at the time and probably a career man. He hung out at the "Green Shack" with Norman Kummer from the 34th signal. Robert also knew where to find the mess hall. He may have been from Puerto Rico or Texas. ANY information would be appreciated. Thank You.

Comments: I was stationed at Rhineland from March 1953 to July 1956. Originally with the 291st Engineer Co. Heavy Construction, in ordnance maintenance. Company renumbered in 1955 as the 175th ECHC as 291st was retired. Unit was attached to 39th Engr. Group commanded by Col. Nolting at that time.

Anyone stationed at Ettligen will clearly remember the Last Chance; Jukebox or Hentzel's. Other units on post were 77th Engineers, a dump truck company (can't recall the number) HQ company and several Labor Service units.

Current unit numbers do not ring a bell and would like to be brought up to date. Also, looking for contacts from these units.
