Comments: The men in my family are long-lived, but my father was suddenly
mowed down by a then mysterious illness.Medical tests revealed
that it was a glioblastoma, a particularly virulent brain
tumor. He was dead in four months. I believe that this was a
direct result of his being present at Operation Ranger.

Keywords: I am interested in finding out all I can about Operation
Ranger, a series of nuclear bomb tests that took place in the
Nevada desert in 1951.I wish to prove that my father, sergeant
Udell B. Fears, RA 13 338 848 was present at these tests. I
know he was in the army from 1949 to 1954 and that he was in
Headquarters Company of the 550th AAA Gun Battalion but I don't
know the exact dates.I believe that the 82nd Recon Battalion
was at the bomb tests, but I don't know if my father was in that
unit.I believe that both of these units were components of the
Second Armored Division of which my father was a member.During
the Korean War era my father was also stationed at Fort Knox,
Kentucky and Fort Hood, Texas. He often spoke of being present
at some kind of bomb test, describing how during the aftershock
of the blast, rocks, dirt and even sheep both living and dead
were flung though the air like leaves in a hurricane. My father
went by te nickname, Bob. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Comments: Looking for Ernest Samuel Floyd.
Possibly born in 1921, from or living in Virginia at the time.
Possibly 2 sisters, name unknown. Definitely one sister at the very
least.
Served in the Korean War, posted in Trieste. Soldier but exact role
unknown.
Left Trieste in June of 1950 for a 'family emergency'. Possibly false
story, but definitely what was said at the time and he definitely left.
Lost contact after that.
Ida Frassone born in 1925 and originally from Trieste was attached
to him, she is my maternal grandmother. Mr. Floyd proposed
marriage and agreed to marry her, he had the marriage papers on
hand according to my deceased grandmother's account. He gave her
a gold watch, possibly a Walker(?) before leaving for the emergency.
I am looking for information regarding this gentleman and/or his
family.
He may be deceased but he is probably the father of my maternal
aunt, Gabriella. She was born in October 1950 on the 10th and I am
looking for information about her probable family for her birthday.
She merely wants to know the rest of her family. She has tried
looking for the man for many years, with out success.
If you know this gentleman or you're related, please get in contact.
We live on Long Island, New York and our surname is Hutchings.
Gabriella Hutchings is most likely his daughter.
Possibly acquainted with Henry Lewis who also served.

Comments: I am looking for thecompany of my Grandfather John P
Sorg MP. He was Military Police During the Korean War.
I know very Little about him and where he was
stationed. The only thing I may acutally know is he may
have been stationed in Germany during the war. I
learned that supply routes in Germany were vital during
the Korean War. Please help me find my Grandfather and
his MP company.
