Comments: I'm looking for anyone who served with my dad in the Korean War during 1951-1953. He was in the 2nd Amphibious Unit, 4th Army Brigade, 287th Signal Company. His name is John A. Moore. Please email me if you or someone you know recognize my dad's name or his unit. I'm in the process of getting more information from him. I will post it once I get it. I would really like to help him connect with some of his army buddies before he passes away.

Assigned 1st Commando/Raider Unit 24th Inf. Div. South Korea APO 977 San Francisco, Calif.
Proj: FEA Destination classified APO 977 San Francisco, Calif. The order then goes on to instruct my father to report NLT 0800 hrs 9 June 1950 to the Commander of the 1st Com/Rad Unit at pier 5 in the San Francisco Harbor. Other general instructions follow concerning travel and the issuance of full combat gear aboard his vessel. Is there anyone out there that knows about this unit, the vessel they traveled on or anything concerning my father during the war? Thank you all for your service to our country.
