Comments: I am looking for anyone who served with my Dad on the Chosin, with the 31st. My Dad's name was William (Bill) Amen. Col Faith was wounded and told my Dad to "get everyone who can walk and get out." My Dad was 38 (no kid) and had served in WW II. He was an NCO. In the "breakout" with Faith, he was in a truck full of wounded that was blown up. He survived Korea but didn't get home until 1953. He never got over the Chosin. He passed away in 1986. Thank you for any information or leads you might have.

It is Dated August 17th, 1952 on the tag in the inside right pocket, and on the tag also is the name" J. A. Breault". It has the 7th Infantry's black hourglass patch on the right shoulder, and a six pointed red star on the left, but no other insignia. Comments: Was with me when he got wounded in the face, losing an eye. I wonder if he's still around. Last name Rainhardt?... Another, Joe? farmer from Utah. There was a 2nd lutenant and another G.I. who drove him away in a truck. I continued to walk the rest of the way, when I got there he was gone.
