Comments: My dad John Wileczek was with 2nd Infantry from 1950-52 in Korea. His records were lost in the St. Louis Archive fire in the 70s, so we know next to nothing of which regiment he was with during the Home by Christmas offensive. We are pretty sure he was on a tank unit. If any of his fellow soldiers are alive and remember him, my family and I would be very grateful to know more of his service.

Comments: I'm looking for information on my Grandpa on his
injuries. His name was Hermenegildo Tomas Almaraz,

I am not aware of any nicknames he had while in
the army. He went by H.T., Tomas, and Herman.

He passed away May 20, 2012 from Alzheimer's and
Parkinson's disease.

Before he got sick he would always talk about his
days in South Korea in the 2nd Infantry, he was
burned during battle when a North Korean set his
pit on fire.

He was burned on the left side and was taken to
Japan.

He had a tattoo on his left forearm of Texas and
inside Texas were his initials H.T.

I am looking for more information as to where he
was sent for his injuries and other medical
treatment, sadly all his paperwork was burned in
the fire at the Archive Center.

I would also like to know more on him in general.
I miss his stories.

Please if you can help we'd really appreciate it.

Richard Vincent Moakley, Sr.

I would like to hear from anyone with any data they might be able to give me about my deceased father-in-law. I hope to find and compile a file for my husband and family. I would really like to have this done by father's day of 2008. Unfortunally I never got to meet him as he was deceased when I married Richard, Jr. and his mother never talked much about him and the war. Basically we're starting from scratch so anything would be of help.

Thanks, Looking to hear from YOU.
