Comments: I was in Korea, it was still a war zone but after a short time, it was taken off the war zone list. The 2nd FDS was attached to the 10th Corps Hq. After a few months the 10th Corps were removed from Korea and we were attached to 7th Div., 17th Regt. HQ.
I would like to know where the 2 post were in Korea. I have been trying for some time now and nobody seems to know anything about the 2nd FDS. I know we were always attached to a unit like the 10th Corps and 17th Regt. Any help would be nice. Thanks, Ed Hall

Comments: I was at HHC 7th Inf Div Spt Cmd from 30 June 1969-30 Aug 1970. I was the S-4 driver and we had to go to all 7th Inf Div units on the DMZ monthly to assure they had all supplies ( RATIONS, AMMO, etc and to carry the latest 8th Army guideance for DMZ operations. Travel from Camp Casey to the DMZ was primitive dirt trails with foliage on the sides. The US Army was spraying defoliant to kill it and remove hiding places for North Korean infiltrators. We also had a field problem in the mountains that lasted a week. We were camped out and patrolled the area . We also had alerts when North Korea assembled troops, planes or tanks on the DMZ.

Comments: As part of my VA AO claim, I need to find fellow servicemen who can verify my boots on the ground in and around Camp Casey TDC, Tong du chon between June 68 and July 69.
My known contacts have died of agent orange related cancers and other ailments. I'm certain that Colonel Kenneth Stevens and general Allan L Leonard and other senior officers have died from old age. Due to chemo after my Lymphoma, I have lost a lot of memory and can't remember my fellow officers names or the names of the non comms with whom I worked.
I was assigned to the 7th S&T from June to July 1968. Capt Erle Taylor , a former North Ga College classmate died early in 2017. The same with LT Wayne Vinson who served on the DMZ.
Lt Roy Turgeon who was a QRF commander has also passed.
From August 68-July 69 I worked for the Chief of staff and then as the Aide de camp to General Allan L Leonard. I was also in charge of the General officers motor pool. I think my drivers name was SP4 Bulloch. Wish I remembered the name of the chopper pilot who flew us all over the 7th and the 2nd div and who could verify my movements. Apparently AO was sprayed around all LZ's and we had to walk through that area at each landing.
Maj Paul J Volk 0F 117 614 may still be around and am trying to locate him. Any assistance and contacts would be appreciated

Comments: Hello, If anyone has stories or information about my
father they would be willing to share it would be
most appreciated -(Sgt. Thomas Cavanaugh - Public
Information Office, 7th Infantry Division). I don't
know exactly when he arrived in Korea but I suspect
sometime in 1951. I know for a fact he was still in
on March 12, 1952 as the only artifact I have is a
letter he sent to his Aunt on that date. He was a
combat reporter and evidently the Army delivered
floors for the tents that day so they ceased
informing the public long enough to install the
floors which freed up his time to write home as there
was no office to clean up. His letter also indicates
he was going to be stateside in April or May 1952.
He did return home, but he did not share many stories
about Korea with us and he passed away in 1982. My
son (16) takes after his grandfather's love for
writing/journalism and is needing information for a
project. Thank you and to all the veterans who read
this regardless if you knew my father....my sincere
thanks for your service :) Shellagh Long-
