Comments: Hi was looking for anyone who might have served with my Dad, Roger Lamothe I know he was in The 25 and I am pretty sure it was in C company. He passed away last summer but he mentioned they called him "Jake" because of the fighter "Lamatta" and his last name Lamothe. He never spoke of any big battles he said he sat on a hill with artillery and watched another hill that had their artillery on it. He was there from Nov to Nov and I think 51-52 but may have been 52-53. Anyne who remembers him and any info they could give would be greatly appreciated

He died almost 20 years ago--I miss him and just want to know all I can--good, bad, or indifferent! I was 18 when he died but didn't know him as well as I would have liked to--can you help me out? Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my grandfather, CHARLES EDWARD LEWIS. He was in the 25th infantry and, said that when he went to Korea in 1951, he was put with the Oklahoma 25th infantry--I think, from 1951 and 1952. I am not sure if he was in the 25th infantry before he was with the Oklahoma 25th. He couldn't recall, and I don't know much about it.

Charles Edward Lewis was also in the California 45th infantry from 1952-1954. I am looking for ways to find info on him and the people he was with, and the people that he knew. He is NOT SO good with names, and it bothers him.

He is alive and doing well, and is finally talking about Korea. I would like to help him, by finding old friends.

Please send me an email if you know him, or know of ways where I can find more info about him and the Korean war. My email address is:

Comments: Since I was two years old when my brother went into the Army and to Korea, I am not familiar with his experiences, and he never spoke of them. (he died 1986). I have been reading a letter he had written home dated Oct. 1951 where he has arrived in Japan and that he had been assigned to the 25th Infantry Divison. He finds he is 'C profile' and that 'A profile' would be the front line in combat. They were to land at (this name is hard to read) Inchon or Incleon, "it's around the 38 degree parallel someplace on the coast" he states.
I understand the 38 degree parallel is where the Korean War was first started.
I am trying to locate this area.
Any help will be appreciated.
Sincerely, Barbara
