Destination Korea is an eye witness account of
the daily life of servicemen in the Korean War.
It consists of letters written by a First
Lieutenant in the U.S. Army to his wife while
he was stationed in Okinawa and Korea during
the Korean War. Through a collaborative effort
between the author of the letters, Dana Abbot
Curtis, and his granddaughter, Jennifer R.
Willand Dillard, they give an accurate account
of the life of an infantryman and combat
engineer ordered to fight in Korea.
Note: Lt Curtis was Killed in Action on April
10, 1951. He was with the 3rd Engineer Combat
Battalion, 24th Infantry Division
