Comments: Hello; I am looking for any information on the events that led to Leslie becoming MIA, someone in his flight who can contactme, or someone who can show any non clasified informaton or paqperwork filed on the event. I grew up whith his parents. We worked the same farm, they, and my father and mother. I have always been interested in what happened. His mother Mildrid never got over his missing and never recovering the body. They always hoped he was still alive. Michael Lee Garrow P.S. I was named after him

Comments: My grandfather flew for a short periiod of time following WWII, and I was wondering if there was anyone who might have known him, or known of him. His name was Albert L. "Curley" Evans andpiloted the "Janne C" a P-51 which was named after my Aunt Janne Claire. I have numerous photographs of individuals whom I have no idea who they are. I know that he was stationed in Japan near the end of the war as was the 49th. I know that he flew P40's but I do not know if they were with the 49th or not. If there are any Black Sheep left or family members around, I would love to hear from you.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who knew 2Lt Wayne Rabun. I learned his name for the first time yesterday. He was the pilot of a P-51 Mustang that, during an airstrike envolving a flight of Mustangs, collided with an Army L-17 near Haeju, North Korea 16 Oct 50. The accident was fatal for all. Lt Rabun's unit was the 35th Fighter-Intercept Wing 8th Fighter-Bomber Sq. My Father, 1st Lt John B. Stanton, 24th Inf was the pilot of the L-17. My family recalls a letter from the Family of the Mustang pilot over 50 years ago. The letter is gone and the name(s) were all lost long ago. If anyone can help I'd be too grateful. Eventually I will find this family. I want to wish them well and see how their lives turned out. There is much much more to all this. My Father earned the Silver Star just before he was killed in Combat. I want to see that he gets his Silver Star.

Comments: Hi. My name is David Francis Hansen. I am the second son of George Herman Hansen and my mother Lois. I understand that my father was married before he met and married my mother. I am told he had a son, (Butch?) who lives or lived in Carmel or Monterey, CA. My father was a navigator, I believe, during WWII, and transitioned to fighter jets, F-84's, during the Korean War. He was shot down and killed on or about May 1, 1952. His body was never recovered. I was six months old at the time. My older brother Steve was 4 and 1/2. Steve went on to join the Army Special Forces as a medic, and served one tour in Viet Nam. He stayed in the Army, and learned to fly HUEY helicopters. He flew MEDEVAC missions in Germany for a number of years and upon return, became a member of Task Force 160, The Night Stalkers, and flew for Delta Force. Unfortunately he was killed while doing a test flight on a helicopter, in 1988, and is buried in Arlington. I enlisted as a private in the Army late in life, (29 yrs old), in the Infantry. I went to OCS at Ft. Benning GA. I, too, became a Green Beret, and commanded an A-Team for several years and was the XO of a Special Forces Company for another couple of years. I went to the mountains of northern Iraq during Desert Storm. I got out of the service in 1992, just before Clinton became president. I have a briefcase that has photos, most unknown to me, and documents of my father's training and so forth. If anyone would be interested in copies of these items please let me know.

Comments: I am researching air combat in the Korean War by non-F-86 units. I am looking for information, first hand and otherwise on F-80 units air combat with MiGs, especially in the period November 1950 thru mid 1951. A few of these encounters are well known and written about in published US works but most are not, sometimes they are only barely mentioned at all in available US records. But some had surprising results from the Soviet perspective that I believe would make them very interesting if described in detail from both sides, so this is what I am trying to do. Any info relevant to this is most welcome.
