Comments: I am looking for my buddies from Korea. I was in B Co 2/503rd
Bushwackers at Camp Hovey, Sept 87-88. Love to get back in touch
with my friends - Maldonado, Cpl Rouse, Cpl Banda, to name a few,
and the rest. Can't remember all the names. We did the Z and
TDC. Remember SGT Ruckelman's coffee on the Z? Rouse and I
screwed that up. I'll never forget the feeling the first time we
went through the gate on a night ambush. We all looked at each
other, paused, and locked and loaded. Never forget the PL
falling asleep.

I'm also looking for the SSG and 1LT that was with me when we
accidentally drove onto a South Korean special base in the
summer of 88 and thought we were dead. If you were there with
me, you know exactly what I am talking about. Need info for a VA

So I create this post today in hopes you or others from the 81-82 time frame can

I've always wondered what happen to my brothers in Arms and do miss the times we
had. With all the crap
thats going on today with this little sawed off leader, it brought me back to his
Grandfathers action, seems
to run in the family.

I remember playing football on the helicopter LZ with a 5 ton chalk block as the ball.
We were some tough
dudes back then. Fit to fight. Freedom park in the dark via Fish Market ally!

I would love to hear from any of you guys. So many memories of hanging with some
of the most loyal
guys I have ever met in my life. What an honor to have served with you all. Funny
how I remember my last
days waiting on my port call. It was two weeks late and I just wanted to leave. I
arrived in St. Louis on
game 7 of the 82 world sires, Milwaukee Brewers against Cardinals and ran into my
dad in the airport.
That was the last time I saw a great soldier named PFC Jiles. A very big man who
had the heart of gold. St
Louis won, my golden birthday was the next day - you can't make that stuff up! I
hope to hear from you
guys! Hey, what did you do that chain? (What Chain) That chain you was sitting on
when you were giving
me @#$%). Hey, What did you do with that tire? (What tire) That tire you were sitting

that never happened at the Z, during Dec. 9 1983. If
you were involved in this incident, you maybe eligible

I am not just specifically talking about the one
incident, but the BS that we soldiers North of the

Greaves and Liberty Bell all year long. Look up the
post by Manny Seck Nov. 9th 2012,where he post the
vital info PDF that you can go to in order to show
proof that the basic incident happened. Go to Page 99
for the info. Not sure we would get CIB's as how it is
stipulated in Army Regs. Also, I have noticed that
their has been talk about Agent Orange on the DMZ that
could of caused major illnesses. If you have found
proof let me know also, I have had illnesses that could
be related.

I do know that I saw 4 body bags with our guys standing

Comments: While serving as platoon leader I had to direct the
actions of my platoon during a major shooting
incident in the ROK sector of the DMZ in August of
1986. Awakened in my quarters on Camp Hovey, I was
informed that one of my mobile GSR teams based at
Radar Site 7 could not be contacted and that a major
shooting incident was in progress in the ROK sector
of the DMZ. The team was presumed killed. I was
ordered to deploy to DMZ and take control of the
situation from Radar site 7. While enroute to Radar
Site 7 I was in contact with my back-up mobile GSR
team who reported that there was a large scale
movement of ROK forces in the area. To get a better
picture of the situation I ordered the NCOIC of Radar
Site 7 to reposition our, then state of the art, long
range ground mounted foward looking infrared
surveillence system to bring the area of the incident
into view. The operator of the system reported large
ROK and North Korean movements along the DMZ in the
area of the incident. Combined Combined Forces
Command which monitored our nets ordered the ROK
forces to halt their movement and withdraw back
before dawn to their positions if there were no other
North Korean actions. We continued to monitor the
situation and before dawn both North Korean and ROK
forces had withdrawn back to their positions. Upon
my arrival at Radar Site 7, just before dawn, I
recieved a weak radio transmission from my missing
mobile GSR team. They were alright and had taken
cover during the incident in a ROK bunker. The
amplifyer on their GRC-160 radio had blown during the
incident leaving unable to report. The incident
spoken of here occured just before the 1986 Asian
Games. It is documented in my unclassified Official
Officer Evaluation Report. During the incident we
observed the movement of 1 North Korean Regiment and
three ROK regiments, one of which had deployed
forward into the DMZ to a position just short of the
MDL. No other record of this incident exists.
Recording tapes map of it made by my FLIR system were
collected personally by the 2ID G2 and hand carried
to Combined Forces Command at Camp Red Cloud were
they disapeared forever.
