Comments: I am looking for anyone that served with my father Byron J. Royston at hill 1062. He was a Mechanic in the 25th Armored Cav. Div. and drove a wrecker tank nicknamed "Mighty Moe". He mentioned a friend that he made there, that had the nickname of "Okie" because he was from Oklahoma. He also said that he had a little puppy that was named "Captain". If there's anyone out there that served with him, please contact me, I know that he'd love to hear from his service mates. ...... By the way.... This is to EVERY Vet. that ever served... Thank you! Comments: My grandfather never talked about the war. He told my grandmother to never ask him anything about it. All that I know is that he served in Korea in 1951 with the 25th Infantry Div.
A few years before his death he wrote a letter to GOD. He told God that he was sorry that he hadnt talked to him more often. He said in his letter "This is old Tom Jones, I have not called you in a long time. If you remember, it was in 1951 and I was on hill 616 in Korea that night."
Please help me find out about hill 616.
