I shipped to Korea with the 1st Provisional Marine regiment 11 July 1950. Landed at Inchon with A Company, 1st SP Btn., then volunteered for duty with H/3/7 prior to the Chosin Reservoir engagement. Fought there and at Wonson. Decorated with Purple Heart twice. Left Korea for medical care in Japan for the second time in Sept. 1950, and returned to Camp Pendelton.
