Comments: Correction : Travis Lee Ladd’s wife’s full name correction, I missed putting her first married name in. Her full name at the time of his death was , DOLLY IDELL RAYBON LADD . Later she remarried and it was DOLLY IDELL RAYBON LADD GILL . He was always her knight in shining armor.

Comments: Travis Lee Ladd’s wife’s full name was DOLLY IDELL RAYBON GILL in the written piece about Travis Lee Ladd her name is incorrect. He was my moms first husband. They had two children together Wallace Raymond Ladd and Barbara Gayle Ladd . I’m from a second marriage years later. She always spoke of him , to the point I felt like I knew him.

Comments: Looking for any information regarding crew lists for PBM5s aircraft and patrol squadron VP892 during the years of 1950 - 1954.
I would like the deck log and muster log of the crew of Lt. Vukic for the month of January 1953.
We were stationed out of Sangley, Pt. Phillipines and crashed off Swatow, China January 18th, 1953.
I suffered amnesia and was reading an article recently in the VFW magazine about this crash but it didn't list names.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Bob Mann

Comments: "Big Ed" Swanson, Skipper of VP892 during its deployment to Japan as the first US Naval Reserve PBM Squadron activated for the Korean war, passed away on 14 Dec. 2006. A memorial service will be held at the University Presbyterian Church in Seattle at 13:00 hours, Friday, Dec 29th. My brother and I (4 years old) watched as Dad took off from San Diego enroute to Korea via Hawaii. As Dad took off loaded down with fuel and gear for the long flight to Hawaii he used JATO assit. The smoke was considerable but unknown to my brother and I a fog bank rolled in over the bay just as Dad took off. We said to each other..."Look what Dad did."
Dad has now rejoined his beloved wife Margaret and they are dancing up a storm to God's big band. He is survived his 2 sons and daughter as well as those who still remain from his squadron.
