Comments: To whom it may concern
Does anyone know if the 819th was active in the
early days of WWII and, if so, did they train in
the Southern Calif. desert at Camp Ibis.
I recently discovered a rock monument adjacent
to Camp Ibis. Time has left only the numbers "819"
on the monument.
Any information on this subject is geratly app-
reciated. Jim Catlett
