Comments: I am the Chaplain for the 24th Brigade Support Battalion and the 24th Quartermaster Company is our lineage. There has been some confusion as to the 24th location from July 1952 to October 1953. Would any of you be able to provide me a location for that period?

Comments: I am searching for anyone who might have known my grandfather, PFC William "Bill" Anable. He served in the 24th QM CO from May 1945 until his date of separation in November 1946. His separation papers state that he was a general clerk. I'm just trying to find out what he was like during this period of his life and where he served overseas.

Comments: I was in the 24th. Quartermaster Co. in Kokura, Japan in 1949-1950, just prior to the Korean War. Our company commander was a Lt. Franks, and later Capt. Chester E. Overmeyer. I was assigned to boot repair and replacement under Lt. (Robert?) Dickson. My best buddie was John Shields. When the war broke out, everyone in the company went to Korea with the division.

Anyone with info on his full name or whereabouts will be most appreciated. I left for the states a couple of months before the war.

Comments: My family and I are quite certain it is my father, Lt. Robert R. Finnegan, in a Korean War documentary, The Korean War: Fire and Ice. He described the incident shown on the film in detail before he died a few years ago, as it continued to torment him for many years. It is about July 1950 when American soldiers discovered a mass grave of our soldiers that had been killed with their hands bound behind their backs with barbed wire. My father's job was to help identify and register those killed. He is shown in the video, stepping away from a group, kneeling down in front of a grave and making the sign of the cross. We would like to confirm this incident so we can be 100% sure that it is him. If anyone served with him at this time and remembers him, please notify me at boemjo@aol.com

Comments: Dad Died of brain cancer 3/10/02. I remember many nights we stayed up till 3:00-3:30 A.M. talking.
He talked of the good times mostly.Like the time
some brass found a bunch of soup cans (cambells)
behind thier tent. He would laugh at that one.
On the other side there was one that bothered him I think, something of a bus load of refuges machine gunned by the Chinese or the North.
He was on burial detail also. If any one remembers anything I sure would like to here it! I
have tried for a year to get the ROK Medal, and now I am getting a form from the Air Force.815-745-2584 thanx! P.O.568 Warren Il. 61087
