Comments: I'm looking for anyone who knew my uncle Donald George Mitch. He was killed in action on 1-15-52. I never knew my uncle and my mother and grandmother have both passed away and would like to hear from anyone who served with him or knew him. The only information I have I found out about him was from this web-site. I do know that he was just 20 years old when he was killed. I was told he was killed in a foxhole and was with 5 other men, but only 3 made it out alive. Please if anyone has any information about him or how and where he died please e-mail me I would love to hear about him, I was always told that he was a really great man and I wish I would have known him.

After returning from Japan, he was assigned to the Shore Party and didn't return to the front. I'm trying to help him find some of his buddies during this time. Comments: My uncle, Sgt. William Clark Crowe, Jr. was KIA on the 24th of April, 1951. A postcard I have from him reveals he was in H and S Co., 1st Bn., 1st Marines, 1st Div. FMF(?). My Question is: was his unit at Horseshoe Ridge that day? If so, that makes it likely that's where he was KIA. I haven't got his USMC record yet and don't know if it will reveal this info.
Any info. will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
