Originating as the 6153rd Air Base Unit in October 1950, this organization operated the Seoul Airdrome except when forced to leave in the face of the Chinese advances in December 1950.

Comments: I was the radio operator on the Speaker A/C # 7965 from Mid July 1951 to Dec 17 1951. Completed 116 missions. I lived in tent 20 right next to the Quonset hut that was our radio maintenance shack. S/Sgt Rhodes (Dusty) was the airborne operator for the Voice A/C # 6147. Would like to hear from anyone that was at K-16 during that time frame.

Comments: Arrived K-16 on Feb.2,52. It was the 6153rd ABG then but changed to the 6167th later.Billeted in tent on west side of base. I was in charge of Base Ground Power Section. Have knowledge of some info pertaining to the Phsy Warfare Unit. Used to pass their parked a/c on my way to our shop adjacent to the bombed-out hanger at the north end of base.
