Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have known my Dad, Capt. James A. Parker, in Korea.
All I know is he was stationed at Taegu from 1951 to 1952. His unit was most likely an
ABG or ABS. I recall my Mom telling me that Dad received a spot promotion to Major
while he was there. He was not rated. Dad was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and
served in the AAC in WWII. I welcome any and all information and leads. Thanks, Jim,
Jr. -- a proud son.

Comments: Started to Korea to join the 6151st Air Base Unit in Sept. 1950.......The C-47 I was on crashed in the sea.......Picked up by Japanese fishing boat was returned to Ashiya Japan .......then sent back to Itazuki Aif Forse Base......reordered Sept 1950 to join the 6152nd Air Base Squdn. at k-9 joined them Thankgiving Day 1950........stayed with this Sqdn. until Jan 1952.......and Yes I remember that mash unit

Comments: Unit of 6154th Air Base Group. 6151st based at K-2. I was there May 1952 until March l953. Under Capt Salas and Lt Weinberger and a lousy Tech Sgt whose name I thankfully have forgotten. Does anyone remember??

Comments: WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE STATIONED AT K-47 OR JUST PASSED THOURGH. THERE WAS A MASH UNIT UP ON THE HILL ABOVE US. THE ARMY HAD A GRAVE REGISTRATION UNIT ON BASE.
