Comments: I am looking fo any information on my father during his Military time. His name is Curt Burrell and I believe he served between the years of 1951-1953. I have a picture of him standing next to a sign that said The best damn unit in Korea and 49th Air Installation Unit. My dad was known for playing the guitar which went with him wherever he went. I have a few more pictures of him and a couple of them he is with another man whom I dont know his name. Please empty if you have any info about him. I do know his rank was A2C but I do not know what it stands for. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Sincerely Judy

Service or Relationship: Air Force Veteran

Comments: I was assigned to the 49th Fighter Wing at Misawa, Japan in June 1950, reassigned to Fukuoka Japan in June 1950, reassigned to K-2 Air Base at Taegu, Korea in Sep. 1950.
We were evacuated twice back to Fukuoka but came back. I was atTaegu till Jan 1952. Interested in hearing from others.

Comments: I was assigned to the Air Police Unit, Hq, 5th
AF in Korea from Oct 1950 to Feb 1952. I was in
Seoul, Taegu and back to Seoul during that time.
I am interested in contacting anyone who might
have been in that unit during the war. Also I
have been trying to contact a Carl A. Moss for
several years. He was assigned with me.

Comments: I was NCOIC of APO 901 that served the 49th Fighter-Bomber Wing at K-2 from December 1950 to September 1952. Detachment 2, 1st Air Postal Sqdn. was attached to the 49th Air Base Group for record maintenance. I would like to hear from anyone who served in Det.2, or any of the APO's in Korea during the above period.
