Comments: Hi, I am trying to find any info/medical records on my biological mother and sister. It is a good chance that my sister was born at this 121st MEDEVAC hospital in 1972-1973. Her given name was Barbara Santiago and my mother's name was Chin Su, possibly Chin Su Chan but the surname is of Chinese descent so I'm not sure if my Dad has the correct name. My sister and I were put into a Catholic orphanage in Seoul a few years later & my Dad was stationed in the States & only learned of this before we were to be adopted. My sister was adopted before he could reunite with her but I was able to join him in the States. So now we are searching for my sister, we have not had any luck in years, and I'm hoping to find anything to help us. Thank you.

In fact you could see them both up on the hill if you were standing outside of the dispensary. I heard that the name of the hotel has been changed to the Paradise Hotel and the casino has closed and moved to another hotel. I remember the nearby bars in Inchon...the California Club....the Harbor Light and a few more. I heard the whole area there has really changed and looks a lot better than it did when I was there. Would like to hear from others who were there around the time I was. Anyone out there who was in the 119th Med. Detachment? The unit was renamed The Inchon Dispensary in 1970. Any veterans out there who were in the 503rd M. P. Detachment which was located on the same base?

Comments: I'm trying to find a medical record of my being in the hospital for a severe asthma attack in 1964
I remember being in a large room all by myself and after several weeks when I was allowed to leave I went down the longest hallway I have ever seen in my life, longer than the old hospital at Fort Carson, CO. I was handed my records and hand carried them to the medic at Camp Casey and that was the last time I saw them. There is no record of this in my military medical records and I'm wondering if there is a duplicate somewhere in the hospital. I think I was at the 121st.
Thank You,

I remember a guy from Boston, Charlie O'Brien, I think the CO's name was Captain Beaupertwi, I know I spelt this wrong. There was a popular Korean song at the time, The Boy in The Yellow Shirt, you would hear it played all the time. One of the Korean X-Ray Techs, translated it for me into english, still have that paper till this day, A guy I was with in the 125, John Martin, spent most of his 22 years between, Korea, Japan and Vietnam. We remained friends till his death in 2005, he found a copy of the record in a store in Columbia Mo. and sent it to me. All the years that have passed and I still have good memories of my time in the Land of the Morning Calm.

I am the current Command Sergeant Major for the 121st Combat Support Hospital/Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital in Yongsan, Korea. It's a dual-mission hospital, performing Armistice healthcare daily and field training in case we go to war with North Korea. There is very little history available regarding our hospital. We do have some old pictures on our walls with small descriptions but I'm looking for anything else any of you may have regarding historical information, prior commanders, command sergeant's major, leadership, deployments, etc. Anything helps. I'm also hoping there are some old hospital items to be had that are squirreled away in a foot locker or closet. I would like to display old 121 Hospital items in a display case for our young Soldiers to see.

I appreciate all your help.
