Comments: After being evacuated to Japan in 1950 from Seoul, Korea. A bunch of us little
American school kids entertained wounded troops in quanset huts at Christmas time.
Can't remember if it was at Sandal or Tokyo.we performed Night Before Christmas and
as a chubby little girl, I could out whistle all the older boys and I remember it
brought the house down. It was only years. later that I figured out who we were
performing for. I'm now 75...and these men are my heroes!

Comments: I have a client, Pfc. Rudolph Green, who was injured in Korea in a truck accident. He was in the 153rd Transportation Unit and spent 20 or so days in this hospital. Does anyone know how I can find admission records or other such info to show that Mr. Green was there. Mr. Greens military med records were burned up in the fire, so some other sort of proof is his only hope.

Comments: I was an orthopedic surgical technition
assigned to the first evac. hosp. in Pusan in
early July 1950. As I recall it was the 21st but
I am not positive. The hosp. was made up with
medical personal from all over Japan. All of our early patients were from 21st infantry regiment
24th division. Two orthopedic surgeons I recall
working with were: Preston Taylor from Utah and
Lt. Col. Zalkan.I was there until Aug. or Sept.
1951 at which time I was rotated back to the
States. Can anyone verify the unit number of the
first evac. hosp. in Pusan (July 1950)?
