Tony went on to become a Preacher and I believe ran the lab at the big VAMC in Louisville, Kentucky. Patrick O'Dell is doing well in Oregon. Tom Ashely lived in Buffalo, Texas - He has not responded to last few Christmas Card - Tom may be in Heaven with Tony??? I gave up the booze in 1975 and the good Lord has been good to me. Ma Doerman

Comments: I served at the 44th Surgical Hospital from 1966-1967 as an x-ray technician. I've applied for Agent Orange Benefits. I have severe heart disease, congestive heart failure, a pace maker and prostate cancer. Diagnosed heart disease when I was 46, and prostate Cancer at 51, Parkinson like symptoms age 34, 5 years after being at the 44th.
Has anyone else been diagnosed with Agent Orange from the 44th?
Were you from another military base and seen at the 44th Surgical Hospital and later diagnosed with Agent Orange. This information may help me confirm exposure to AO is possible.

Keywords: I was transferred from 121st Evacuation Hospital in 1963 as a
recovering patient with hepatitis. I stayed in a wing with about
30 patients with similar ailments. I have no records of this
because the service retained them. How would I find any records
kept of my stay of about 25 days? Any help would be appreciated
because the VA cannot find any of my records and I retired in 1979.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who served with the 44th Surgical Hospital in S. Korea in 1955. I was born in S. Korea and was adopted by an American serviceman named Gordon Peterson. He served in the 44th and the only other name I have is an Army buddy named Jerome Heinrich. I am just looking for info about this unit and where it was stationed in Feb. 1955. I believe it was near Chunchon, S. Korea. I am looking for background on my origins although coming to the United States was the best thing that ever happened to me. I'm just trying to fill some holes in my life if possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated especially if you knew either Gordon Peterson or Jerome Heinrich.

Comments: I was there for 6 months in the last part of 1957. Great experience, lots of
surgery, and fond memories.Probably many have passed on. The F-86s
used to wave to us as they passed over on alerts. A character building
block for sure.

Comments: I am Rick Davis. My Father, Howard Davis, had two tours of duty in Korea. The first was in 1951 with the 8th Cav. Reg. He was wounded and was sent to a hospital in Osaka, Japan.

In 1953 he was sent back to Korea to the 44th Surgical Hospital. He was a mess sargent.

He currently lives in Owensboro, Ky. He doesn't have access to the internet. Please forward any information to me.
