Not much reference to the times in a Korean Issued Book, but North Koreans were Killed outside of Compound by ROK Army & Casualties in our Chorang Detachment. We started a Charter Chapter of the VFW. Comments: I arrived in Fort Hood Texas in late 1950. The 11th Evac left for Yongdong Po in December 1950, but was redirected to Tokyo and then to Camp Drake. We arrived in Tokyo in January of 1951 We were then sent to Osaka Nagoia and set up camp there. Colonel Seymor was in charge and we spent day after day setting up tents to form a hospital, similar to what you see on MASH on TV today. We then left for Puson and then sent to Chungu where the hospital was set up. Enough of that stuff. What I am looking for is for a buddy called Roadamel. He was a truck driver, that taught me how to drive a 2 1/2 ton truck while stationed in Fort Hood. I am now 81 years old and am looking for a listing of my buddies that were in the war with me at Chungu. Can You help me locate some of these guys, or give me a list of the members of the 11th at the time I served in Kores. Thanks, Corporal Robert E. Madden 16214416.

Comments: My Father (from Austin, Texas at the time), Msgt. Ruben O. Poss - RA 6277625 - served in the 8211th from 1 November 1952 through 1 September 1953. Among other duties, he helped operate the Pusan NCO club as secretary.
I am very interested in contacting those of you who may have known him. I would like learn more about him and his activities during this time frame. He talked very little about his activities although he did share a few photos (which I will readily share), stories, and eleuded to being involved with G2.
He was formally trained in photography (I believe he used a Speed Crown Graphic camera in Korea and WWII) and may have used those skills for other than snapshots. He also used a Zenobia 120 roll film folding camera which I still have.
I was 8 years old at the time and vividly remember him returning to the (then small) Austin airport on either a DC-3 or C-47, late one evening in September 1953.
I would appreciate any comments, contacts, or directions.
Thank you for remembering...
