Comments: I am looking for anyone who may have served with my father William Lewis Kelley in Korea. He was wounded twice. His family was living in Elmira NY at the time he enlisted. He spoke little about Korea until he was dying of leukemia last year.
I have photos taken of him and several friends from training at Camp Pendleton, from Korea, and from some rowdy R and R in Japan. ;-)
I am a disabled former Marine myself and am looking to fill in the gaps in my understanding of my father.
Any help would be appreciated.

Comments: Assisting George M Cagey A Native American from Bellingham, WA. with history of his unit 1st Batt. 5th Marines C. Company, 2nd platoon he has mentioned "Zebra Location" "the Punch Bowl", "Wan Ju Massacre" and Operation Mousetrap. There are differing opinions stating the 5th Marines were not involved, but there is a book "Cheers and tears A Marines Story of combat and peace and War in Korea" and it mentions the 5th marines being involved in this battle. Please send any info. to davidhj@lummi-nsn.gov George has no phone, but he is doing really well.
