Comments: Just published, THEY CALLED HER RECKLESS -- A TRUE STORY OF WAR,
LOVE AND ONE EXTRAORDINARY HORSE, by Janet Barrett, is the full
story of the indomitable Korean pony who became the warhorse of
the 5th Regiment during the Korean War. Awarded two Purple Hearts
for wounds sustained during the Battle for Outpost Vegas, she
hauled ammo for recoilless rifles and mortar crews through three
days and nights in that harrowing conflict. Promoted to sergeant
(and later, staff sergeant), Reckless saved lives, raised
spirits, and was loved and respected by all who knew her. The
generous help of more than 60 Marines who served with her during
the Korea years and thereafter made this book possible. Thank you
all! 14 pages of photographs embellish her amazing story. Book is
available at various Marine Corps sites (including the Marine
Corps Association and the National Museum of the Marine Corps)
and on Amazon.com.

Comments: I am looking for any information about my father who served in the USMC during the Korean war and was in Chosin. He was called back in to serve in November, 1950 until 1952 (we think). He was a Sergeant in the first Marine Division, 5th Marine regiment (we think)... He was a scout. If anyone knew or knows of Allyn Nelson, we would like to hear from you!

Also my father's name was Arthur "E" Snider

Comments: I have been looking for a Luke Wallach. He contacted my sister years ago and I would like to talk to him. Anyone who might have known my dad Harold, I would love to hear from you. You all are my heros, thank you for what you did. I pray every day that no more men have to die in Korea.
I have 10 children and tell of the heroic deeds all you Marines have done. God Bless you all.
I would also like to know who to write and find where my dad was during the war and his medals he received. Thank you Shirley
