My Dad Robert E. Doyle served on the USS St Paul. I know this as I have a photo of him taken on 8/7/53. My Dad passed away this past Saturday and I have been trying to get any information about his time in the service. My Dad did not talk alot about the war and his sister told me that when he came home he was in a lot of trauma for a long time. When I was younger he told me that his ship fired the last round in the war. I was wondering if there was anyone out there that had photos of my Dad or the time when he was there.. Please email me and God Bless you all..
My Dad was from Boonville Missouri and everyone called him BoB.. He also got a tattoo while in Koren, A star on his left hand near his thumb and pointer finger, he told me that he and several of his buddies all got this same tattoo..I hope someone out there knew him and can email me....
