Comments: I served onboard the KW from late 54 till sometime in 1956. I was a BMSN and ran the officers motorboat, Captains gig and Admiral's barge. Does anyone remember when I painted the officers boat Blue, I had to repaint it gray, but it sure did look good. Spent many good nights in San Diego

Comments: Served on the KW right out of radioman school
in Bainbridge Maryland in 1954. Made one cruise
to the Pescadore Islands operating with seaplanes
photographing Russian shipping in the Formasa
Straits. Left the KW in 1955 via a seaplane
to the Phillipines and then to new duty station,
ComCarDiv One aboard the USS Hornet CVA-12.
After that tour of duty spent my last year at NavComSta Guam, discharged at Treasure Island
in December 1957. Attained the rank of RM2,
passed the RM1 exam but would have had to ship over to get the rank. Still kicking myself for not staying in the Navy. Married for 42 years (to same woman), 7 grandkids and retired.
